The last will and testament of Solomon Baker, In the name of God, I Solomon
Baker being of sound mind and good health, thanks be to the Almighty God for
the same, I do purpose and establish this my last will, When it shall please
Almighty God to take me from this world and all I here enjoy I Solomon
Baker, of Washington Township Franklin County and Sate of Pennsylvania, do
make the following disposition of all my Estate, that my will and testament
is as follows, First I will and all my just debts and my funeral expenses
shall be first paid out of my personal estate, Then I give and devise to my
son Daniel M. Baker, the Tract of Land containing Sixty acres, more of less,
and the Potting implements, on which we now reside, I make this Devise to my
son Daniel M. Baker, subject to the payment of Six thousand Dollars, of
which Fifteen hundred Dollars thereof , is to remain in the land, for a
Dower for my beloved wife Anna Baker, for her to have the yearly interest
thereof, during her life, after my decease, which my son Daniel M. Baker is
to pay to her yearly, and it is my will, that my wife Anna Baker, shall
have full privilege to live with my son Daniel M. Baker in the room which we
now occupy, with full privilege to pass and [illegible] our buildings, and my
son Daniel M. Baker, is to furnish sufficient provision for her both meat
and drink, at his table, or at her own if she prefers it, and her washing,
[illegible] also, during her life. Item, I will and devise also that my son
Daniel M. Baker shall pay four thousand five hundred Dollars in nine yearly
payments of five hundred dollars each yearly payments, namely to my heirs,
The first yearly payment of Five hundred Dollars is to be paid, one year
after my decease, The first yearly payment of Five hundred Dollars, my son
Daniel M. Baker is to pay to my son George Baker, The second yearly payment
of Five hundred Dollars he is to pay to my daughter Nancy, the wife of
Samuel Hollinger, The third yearly payment of Five hundred Dollars he is to
pay to my daughter Maria the wife of Jackson Stuckey, The fourth yearly
payment of Five hundred dollars he is to pay to my daughter Leah, the wife
of John Burger, The fifth yearly payment of Five hundred Dollars, he is to
pay to my son Adam Baker, The sixth yearly payment of Five hundred dollars,
I devise to my son Daniel M. Baker, The seventh yearly payment of Five
hundred dollars, my son Daniel is to pay to my son George Baker, the eight
yearly payment of Five hundred dollars, he is to pay to my daughter Nancy,
the wife of Samuel Hollinger, the ninth yearly payment of Five hundred
dollars he is to pay to my daughter Maria, the wife of Jackson Stuckey,
These several payments, will consume the Four thousand, Five hundred Dollars
and the Fifteen hundred dollars for Dower, for my wife Anna Baker, shall
remain until after her decease, and then my son Daniel M. Baker shall pay
the Fifteen hundred dollars of Dower in three yearly payments with interest.
The first yearly payment of Five hundred dollars with inters, he is to pay
to my daughter Leah the wife of John Burger, The second yearly payment of
Five hundred dollars with interest my son Daniel is to pay to my son Adam
Baker, The third yearly payment of Five hundred dollars with interest, I
devise to my son Daniel M. Baker, The three payments with interest, I devise
to my son Daniel M. Baker, The three payments with interest yearly, will
consume the Dower and I also will and bequeath to my son Adam Baker, my half
of the Farm of Tract of Land which we bought from McLarvahan in Antrim
Township, subject to the payment of six thousand dollars of which fifteen
hundred dollars, thereof shall remain in the land as the Dower for my wife
Anna Baker, for her to have the yearly interest thereof, during her life
after my decease, which my son Adam Baker is to pay her yearly , My will and
desire is that my son Adam Baker shall pay the Four thousand five hundred
dollars in nine yearly payment of Five hundred dollars each yearly payment,
Namely to my heirs, The first yearly payment of Five hundred Dollars is to
be paid on year after my decease, the first yearly payment of five hundred
dollars, my son Adam Baker is to pay to my son Daniel M. Baker, the second
yearly payment of Five hundred dollars, I devise to my son Adam Baker, the
third yearly payment of Five hundred dollars, my son Adam Baker is to pay to
my daughter Leah the wife of John Burger, The fourth yearly payment of five
hundred dollars, he is to pay to my daughter Maria the wife of Jackson
Stuckey, The fifth yearly payment of five hundred dollars, he is to pay to
my daughter Nancy the wife of Samuel Hollinger, the sixth yearly payment of
five hundred dollars, he is to pay to my son George Baker, the seventh
yearly payment of five hundred dollars, he is to pay to my son Daniel M.
Baker, the eighth yearly payment of Five hundred dollars I devise to my son
Adam Baker, the ninth yearly payment of five hundred dollars my son Adam
Baker is to pay to my daughter Leah the wife of John Burger, These payment
will consume the Four thousand Five hundred dollars and the fifteen hundred
dollars of Dower for my beloved wife Anna Baker, shall remain until after
her decease, and there my son Adam Baker shall pay fifteen hundred dollars
of dower in three yearly payments with interest, the first yearly payment of
five hundred dollars, with interest, my son Adam Baker is to pay to my
daughter Maria the wife of Jackson Stuckey, the second yearly payment of
five hundred dollars with interest, he is to pay to my daughter Nancy, the
wife of Samuel Hollinger, the third yearly payment of Five hundred dollars
with interest, he is to pay to my son George Baker, These yearly payments
with interest will consume the Dower, Now my will and testament is as follows, If my wife Anna Baker should die, before my decease, or should not live until the nine
yearly payments are
paid, after my decease, then in such event my two sons Adam Baker and Daniel
M. Baker, shall then pay the yearly interest of the Dower after my decease,
equally, share and share alike to all my heirs, until the nine yearly
payment are paid.
Now all my personal property or furniture which is now in our house for the
use of my wife Anna Baker, which she does not want or need for her use after
my decease, that is in our possession, shall be equally divided, share and
share alike amongst all my heirs, except One hundred dollars, which my wife
Anna Baker shall have the first year after my decease, Until she receives
her yearly interest of her Dower, Then all my money remaining in my
possession at my decease, shall be divided equally, share and share alike
amongst all my heirs, Moreover it is my will that in the event of any of my
sons or daughters dying before my decease, that their share of Legacy be
divided equally, share and share alike amongst their heirs, And lastly; I
Solomon Baker, do appoint and ordain as my Lawful Executors, my two sons,
Adam Baker, and Daniel M. Baker, and I hereby allow and devise to them, the
sum of Two hundred dollars to be raised out of the above mentioned secons,
as recompense for their faithful performance of their duty.
In Testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifteenth
day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Sixty
Seven.

Shank, the subscribing witnesses to the within interest instrument of
writing, who being duly qualified according to law, did depose and say that
they were personally present and daw Solomon Baker, late of the Township of
Washington in said county deceased the testator therein named sign his name
to said writing and seal the same and heard him publish and declare the said
instrument as and for his last will and testament and at the time of so
doing he was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the
best of their knowledge and belief and that their own names thereunto
subscribed as witnesses were as subscribed at the request of the testator in
his presence and in the presence of each other.

In the name of God, I Anna Baker, being of sound mind and good health, thanks
be to the Almighty God for the same, I do purpose and establish this my last will,
When it shall please Almighty God to take me
from this world and all I here enjoy. I, Anna Baker of Washington Township
Franklin County and State of Penn. Do make the following disposition of all
my estate, Finish my will and testament is a follows. First I will that all
my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first paid out my personal
estate, then I bequeath and give to my son David M. Baker’s oldest son,
Harvey B. Baker, one hundred dollars, and the balence of my estate I
bequeath and give to my son David M. Baker and Catherine his wife and their
heirs, Executors, administrators and assigns to them and their use and
benefit forever, and lastly I do appoint my son Daniel M. Baker to be my
executor of this my last will and testament, In testimony whereof I the said
Anna Baker, have to this my last will and testament contained on one sheet
of paper I have subscribed my mark to my name and affixed my seal this 30th
day of Nov. in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy

Before me C H. Fedweiler, Register for the probate of wills in and for said county,
personally came Joseph Shank and John Shank the subscribing witnesses to the within
instrument of writing who being duly qualified according to law did depose and say
that they were personally present and
saw Anna Baker late of the Township of Washington in said county, deceased, the testatrit therein named make her mark to said writing,
and seal the same
and heard her publish and declare the said instrument as and for her last
will and testament, and at the time of so doing she was of sound and
disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of her knowledge and
belief, and that their own name subscribed thereto as witnesses were so subscribed
at the request of the testatrit in her presence and in the
presence of each other affirmed this 8th day of September.

Be it remembered that on the day of the date hereof the last will and testament
of Anna Baker, late of Washington Township deceased, being the
accessed written instrument, was duly proved before the Register of wills of
said County as and for the last will and testament of said decease which
said last will and the proofs and examinations taken therenow are recorded
and filed in said office.
